Akai MPC 60 for sale:

The Akai MPC-60 is a MIDI sampler/sequencer made in Japan in 1988.
The sequencer is easy to use, with many possibilities. The sequencer is used to sequence internal sampled sounds but can also sequence external instruments via the MIDI connections (For example, you can control other samplers or synthesizers). There are two MIDI IN connections and four MIDI OUT connections.
On the audio outputs side, the Akai MPC60 is well equipped with an STEREO output and eight MONO separate outputs. There is also inputs and outputs called "ECHO" to connect an external effect like a DELAY or other effects; you can manage the effects levels directly from the MPC60. (Imagine your MPC60 connected to an external effect like a MOOG MF-108M Moogerfooger! ...). The resolution of the sampling is done in 12-bit 40Khz, it gives a definite grain to samples and a dynamic close to a big slap!
Savings samples and sequences is made on 720K disks, this works very well and is easy to use.
Originally the Akai MPC-60 can sample up to 13 seconds; Or 26 seconds with the memory expansion (included with the MPC-60 for sale here); These periods can be doubled using an internal compression algorithm available with the 3.10 operating system (included in the MPC-60 for sale here).
After using many sampler/sequencer, it is clear that the AKAI MPC-60, AKAI MPC-3000 and E-MU SP1200 are clearly the best ones, they are easy to use, they've got a "sound color" of their own and have huge dynamic for Punchy samples. It's your music style and your ears that will guide your choice. The Akai MPC-60 was and is used by artists like Daft Punk, Public Enemy, Kanye West, The Kill, Jimmy Edgar, Jean-Michel Jarre, DJ Shadow, A Guy Called Gerald, De La Soul, Apollo 440, BT ...
