The KORG TRIDENT is a polyphonic analog synthesizer made in Japan in 1980. The Trident, that is three instruments in one: a eight voices polyphonic analog SYNTHE section, a eight voices polyphonic analog BRASS, a analog polyphonic STRINGS synthesizer section. The SYNTHE parts: two VCOs, a VCF, VCA ADSR, oscillators are de-tunable ... You can save 16 of your own sounds in the SYNTHE part. BRASS section is simple, but sounds good and has all the necessary controls: Cutoff, Resonance, Attack, Decay, Sustain, Release, Eg intensity VCF ... STRINGS synthesizer section sounds very good too! It has an ENSEMBLE effect, a BOWING effect (more natural feeling in the attack the string sound), a vibrato ... A good sounding fully analog FLANGER applicable to one of three sections.
The KORG TRIDENT is one of the best ,three in one, polyphonic analog synthesizers. It is less versatile than a Jupiter 8 or a Prophet V... But the Trident sound is very "warm" and this synth has a real "personality".
