The Waldorf Quantum is a hybrid digital / analog synthesizer. Its three digital oscillators offer four types of synthesis:
-Wavetable synthesis as on a vintage PPG.
-Virtual analogue synthesis with many classical waveforms.
-Granular synthesis based on multisampling and classical sampling.
-Resonators synthesis, a bit like a DX7 but with many more possibilities.
Then you will find two analog filters per channel but you can also use powerful digital filters if you wish! The Quantum has a rich modular matrix with a lot of sources and destinations, enough to create very complex sounds. The control knobs are illuminated with different colors to help to quickly visualize the parameters constituting a sound or to better visualize the potentiometers that interact.
