Akai S700 for sale:
The Akai S700 is a sampler made in Japan in 1987. It is a 12-bit sampler with an adjustable sampling frequency from 1.6KHz to 16KHz. The sampling time varies from 0.8 seconds to 8 seconds. The archiving of the samples is done on atypical disks, called Quick Disks. The Akai S700 can play up to 6 samples at the same time (16 samples with the ASK-70 memory board option). The interest of the AKAI S700 is that it is designed as a synthesizer where your samples will become your "oscillators". For those who might be intimidated by the sampler front panel, it is good to know that the Akai S700 is very easy to use, the owner's manual is simple and clear and is less than 40 pages. If you follow the instructions step by step you will sample your first sounds in a few minutes and will archive your samples in less than an hour. The sound quality of the Akai S700 is excellent with a "sound color" of its own and a ultra efficient "Punch" . The Akai S700 has the most typical sound of the akai Vintage sampler. The Akai S700 has been and is used by artists such as: Chemical Brothers, A tribe call Quest, Orbital ...
